JB goes Man-Witch

Jack Black may be one of the funniest mofos out there right now. Yes, it’s been a few years since he’s done something really funny, but even in his so-so efforts, he comes out on top. Many were hoping that TENACIOUS D AND THE PICK OF DESTINY was going to be the greatest movie of all time, and while it lacked in comparison to the source material, you have to admit: it was still damn funny.

Variety scored some awesome sounding news today concerning JB- looks like he’ll be starring in the comedy/horror flick MAN-WITCH, from director Todd Phillips (OLD SCHOOL)! That’s right, talk about the dream team of comedy in a comedic horror flick! What could we have possibly done to deserve this?!

MAN-WITCH goes a little something like this: In the comedy, Black will play a schoolteacher who suddenly discovers he has witchlike abilities. Taken in by a coven, he is persuaded to attend a school for witches, only to discover that his classmates are all girls.

Nice! Not only is the concept funny as hell, and not only can I practically see JB doing a fine job here, but I can also see lots of ample nudity involved, as Phillips knows how to deliver when it comes to nudity in his comedies (just rent ROAD TRIP if you don’t believe me).

It’s been awhile since we’ve had a good comedic horror flick, and if any duo would be able to pull it off, it’d be these guys. Let’s wish em’ luck! Stick around more casting news and info on MAN-WITCH (great title, by th way) as we hear it!
