A couple of weeks ago, it was being reported that Jessica Chastain would probably be able to fit IRON MAN 3 in her schedule after flirting with the project for awhile.
Now it looks like she’s definitely not going to be able to fit it in. The actress released this statement on her Facebook page:
“Sorry to say that Iron Man 3 isn’t going to work out. My schedule is jammed packed and I can’t fit anything else in. The press announced my possible attachment far too soon. I know many of you wanted me to be involved, and I’m so sorry to disappoint you. Hopefully there’ll be another Marvel film in my future. Shane Black and everyone on the IM3 team are really wonderful. I’m very excited to see the film when it comes out. xx”
That’s too bad. I would have liked to have seen her in the role. She was up for the part of Dr. Maya Hansen, who had a hand in developing the nanotechnology. She was also a former flame of Stark’s.
Does that mean Isla Fisher can have it now? I love her.
