Jessica Henwick joins Michael Rooker in Monster Problems

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

One of the more interesting upcoming fright flicks on my radar is Michael Matthews' coming-of-age monster-apocalypse movie MONSTER PROBLEMS. The film has a killer cast line-up including Michael Rooker (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2, HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER), Dylan OBrien (THE MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS, TEEN WOLF), and Ariana Greenblatt (AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR).

And today we have word that Jessica Henwick has joined the cast as well. Henwick is perhaps best known for her role as Colleen Wing on Netflix’s Marvel shows IRON FIRST and THE DEFENDERS but she also had a memorable role on HBO's mega-hit adaptation of George RR Martin's fantasy novel series GAME OF THRONES as Nymeria Sand.

The romance-tinged sci-fi feature from Paramount Players is

A coming-of-age story about a young man (O’Brien) living in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters who travels through a hostile environment to find the girl of his dreams.

Henwick will play the above-mentioned dream girl.

MONSTER PROBLEMS will be directed by Michael Matthews (FIVE FINGERS FOR MARSEILLES) from a screenplay written by Brian Duffield (JANE GOT A GUN, THE BABYSITTER) and Matthew Robinson (THE INVENTION OF LYING, MONSTER TRUCKS). Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps (STRANGER THINGS) are producing. The movie is in the early stages of production in Australia. We'll let you know once we hear more about this romantic monster-apocalypse motion picture. Until then, let us know what you think so far below!
