It’s been more than 7 months since we gave y’all a tour of Jim Sheridan’s DREAM HOUSE, so we’re more than due for a briefing. Unfortunately, this isn’t very encouraging one…
Word has just sprung from Production Weekly’s Twitter feed that DREAM HOUSE will undergo two weeks of reshooting in Toronto, Canada…effective November 29th.
As is usually the case with the brevity of Twitter, few details beyond that have been offered. We can only assume something was either ill-achieved or missed entirely when Sheridan (above) and his editor were cutting the film. Hopefully it’s something minor, but two weeks is a good chunk of time. The question now becomes, will the film still adhere to a slated February 18th, 2011 release date?
For those late to the party, DREAM HOUSE commences after:
A father relocates his family into what appears to be the ideal residence in small town Connecticut. However, they are disturbed to discover that their beautiful new home was the site of another family’s slaughter, believed to be at the hands of the husband who survived.
Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts (below), Rachel Weisz, Rachel Fox, Gregory Smith, Elias Koteas, Jane Alexander, Sarah Gadon, Chris Owens, Martin Csokas, Claire and Taylor Geare, Mark Wilson, Jonathan Potts and Lynne Griffin comprise an impressive ensemble.
Until we hear more, enter the DREAM HOUSE February 18th.
