J.J. Abrams on Star Trek 4; New Beyond clip has the Enterprise under attack

We're a week away from the release of STAR TREK BEYOND and so far the buzz surrounding Justin Lin's film has been pretty positive, with our own JimmyO calling it an "impressive sequel" and a "spectacular experience" in his review. We'll have to wait and see what the general public thinks of the film and, more importantly, how it performs at the box-office, but Trek producer J.J. Abrams is already keen to move forward with another sequel. During a press conference for the film, Abrams was asked whether they'd thought of ideas for the sequel yet.

Yes, and there’s something that hopefully we’re figuratively minutes away from talking about. The answer is 100% yes, and it’s incredibly exciting.

Whether this means another flashback sequence or some time-traveling shenanigans is unknown, but it'd certainly be interesting to see Hemsworth back in the STAR TREK universe, especially as his star has exploded since that first film.

Enterprise. It could just be me, but I'm getting a little STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE feeling from Michael Giacchino's score.
