For the last few months, we’ve been rolling out something we’ve wanted to do for a long time here at JoBlo.com: The JoBlo Weekly Roundup, our free weekly newsletter, delivered every Friday morning.
One thing we’ve always been proud of is the connection we’ve built with our readers. Many of you have been with us for years, whether through the talkbacks, comment sections, social media, or our massive JoBlo YouTube Network, which now spans 17 channels, 22 million subscribers, and more than 18 billion views. This newsletter is another way for us to stay connected. Think of it as a quick weekly catch-up between movie fans, written by movie fans. If you’re curious, you can check out our archive of previous issues HERE.
The best part? This isn’t one of those spammy newsletters that simply regurgitates headlines you’ve already seen everywhere else. Every issue is short, curated, and built around original commentary. We spotlight industry trends we’re noticing (like the return of original movies or the growing impact of franchise fatigue), stories that genuinely frustrate us (such as digital movies disappearing from people’s libraries or the lack of physical releases for major games), our latest reviews, and our take on the biggest entertainment stories of the week.
We’ve already published months’ worth of issues, and we’d love for you to join us. The more readers we have, the more we can grow this into something truly special. We want you to help shape what it becomes.
As an added thank-you, we’re launching a monthly giveaway. On the first Friday of every month, I’ll randomly select one subscriber to receive an official JoBlo Bobblehead or Popcorn bucket (winner’s choice)!

It doesn’t matter if you’re a brand-new subscriber or you’ve been with us since the newsletter launched—everyone subscribed is automatically eligible to win.
JoBlo.com has been around since 1998, built from the ground up by passionate movie lovers who simply wanted a place to geek out about movies. That’s still who we are today. While many entertainment sites have become increasingly corporate, chasing clicks and algorithms, we’ve always tried to keep things personal, opinionated, and authentic. That’s what’s kept readers coming back for nearly three decades, and it’s exactly what this newsletter is all about.
So if you haven’t signed up yet, SUBSCRIBE HERE, stay connected, and help us continue building the kind of movie community that’s becoming harder and harder to find online.
