Joe Manganiello’s Archenemy trailer delivers some gritty superhero violence

While many studios are seeing their superhero films pushed to 2021 and beyond due to the coronavirus pandemic RLJE Films still plans on releasing its gritty superpowered thriller ARCHENEMY, starring Joe Manganiello, in theaters and on Digital and On Demand this December 11th.

Directed and written by Adam Egypt Mortimer, ARCHENEMY tells the story of Max Fist (Manganiello), a man who claims to be a hero from another dimension who fell through time and space to Earth, where he has no powers. No one believes his stories except for a local teen named Hamster. Together, they take to the streets to wipe out the local drug syndicate and its vicious crime boss known as The Manager.

Joining Manganiello for the hyper-violent spin on a superpowered fish-out-of-water story is Skylan Brooks (The Get Down, SOUTHPAW), Zolee Griggs (BRIDE WARS, PUBLIC DISTURBANCE), Amy Seimetz (PET SEMATARY, The Girlfriend Experience), and Glenn Howerton (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, THE STRANGERS).

I'll be damned if I don't want to check this movie out. It's been a hot minute since I've seen Manganiello beat some ass, and now he's set to do it while assuming the role of a hobo from another dimension? Count me in the hell in, and while you're at it, let's give it up to Adam Egypt Mortimer for filling that superhero hole in our nerdy hearts in a year with very few capes and cowls.

You can check out a cool art poster for ARCHENEMY below, and be sure to let us know what you think of the new trailer in the comments section below.
