Least to say most of us would rather drink a pint of our own urine than to see that happen…. including BOYS director Joel Schumacher. He recently had a chat with the folks at Rotten Tomatoes, and had some interesting things to say on his idea for a sequel, and his thoughts to what the WB is doing to his movie:
“I told them to do ‘Lost Girls’ and not do ‘Lost Boys Sequel,'” Schumacher said. “There is no ‘Lost Boys’ sequel. All the boys are dead. But The Lost Boys are all dead. The Coreys are too old. So what would be the movie? You’d have to make up a whole new set of characters.”
Now a LOST GIRLS I could see- way more than a LOST BOYS 2. The guy has a point! Though he’s likely just pissed that they’re doing a sequel to his best movie to date… or his still stewing over what he did with 8MM, or better yet- BATMAN & ROBIN.
