John Carpenter in concert?!

It's cool enough new that HALLOWEEN will be hitting theaters again this year, but John Carpenter isn't finished treating us today. You see, for the first time ever, Carpenter will be performing his scores in front of a live audience. Unfortunately for American readers, this performance will take place in Iceland at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival in Ásbrú, a former Nato base.

You can check out the promo video below, but the event will feature Carpenter performing exerpts from his scores as well as new compositions (and presumably some tracks from his Lost Themes album, which came out in February). It hasn't been announced specifically which scores he will be performing, but with a body of work as far ranging as the minimalist synth propulsion of HALLOWEEN, the haunting electronics of HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH, or the equally buoyant charms of THEY LIVE, ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, THE FOG, CHRISTINE, BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, and even DARK STAR, it's bound to be a wicked treat.

If you live in Iceland or want an adventure, tickets are on sale now and available here.
