John Fallon’s The Shelter with Michael Pare hits RedBox this Tuesday!

After the sad news that Arrow in the Head founder and head honcho John Fallon (aka The Arrow) would be stepping down as head reviewer for the site, we can find a bit to rejoice in as his feature career seems to be on the up-and-up! Sweet!

As you all know John directed his first feature film this past year (and wrote, and produced) with the slow burn psychological horror flick THE SHELTER. Well, after its festival run and its theatrical, VOD and DVD release, John Fallon’s THE SHELTER will now be available (in the USA) on RedBox February 7. Even cooler still, the film will be shopped at the upcoming EFM (European Film Market) in Berlin by Uncork'd Entertainment (contact here) starting February 9.

Here The Shelter's synopsis:

In THE SHELTER, widower and homeless man Thomas Jacobs (Paré) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a vast two-story house with the lights on and an inviting open front door. He strolls on in thinking he just caught a lucky break and for a while, it would appear as though he did. But soon enough, he realizes that the house won’t let him leave, as its doors are all locked while its windows cannot be opened or broken. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place. What does it want from him? Will he survive the ordeal?

Written, directed and produced by John Fallon, The Shelter stars Michael Paré (Eric Red's BAD MOON) in one of his most acclaimed performances of recent times.

The LA TIMES:

“The Shelter is graced by the performance of Michael Paré – (he) strikes just the right notes”

Aint it Cool News:

“…he really gives it his all here, plunging to emotional depths I never thought he was able to do”.

Tom Holland’s Terror Times:

“Blending elements of spirituality, horror and redemption within the faith based storytelling, you see a very complete film in THE SHELTER.”

THE SHELTER is the first film from JoBlo Movie Productions & Bruise Productions Inc., and the crew included cinematographer by Bobby Holbrook, and visual VFXs from Thomas Wilson (THE CONJURING), and co-stars Gayle James, Rachel Whittle, Amy Wickenheiser, Lauren Alexandra and Daena Turner.

Make sure to check out THE SHELTER when it hits RedBox this Tuesday February 7th!
