John Krasinski in talks to star in J.J. Abrams’ God Particle

A couple of weeks ago we learned that David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw had been cast in GOD PARTICLE, and now Variety is reporting that John Krasinski is in early negotiations to join them in the sci-fi thriller.

The former Paramount InSurge project takes place in the near future, and centers around "a team of astronauts on a space station who make a terrifying discovery that challenges all they know about the fabric of reality as they desperately fight for their survival." If Krasinski does officially sign on, he'll be playing one of the astronauts in the movie.

THE GIRL IS IN TROUBLE helmer Julius Onah is directing the film with J.J. Abrams producing through his Bad Robot shingle. Production on GOD PARTICLE is set to begin in the next few months for its February 24, 2017 release.

Krasinski can be seen next in THE HOLLARS (which he also directed) on August 12, 2016, and you can check out Chris Bumbray's Sundance review of the dramedy here.
