John Wick 3 gets first rain-slicked poster & title change

If one of your most anticipated movies of the year is the third JOHN WICK movie, then today is your lucky day. Lionsgate has debuted the first poster of the movie, showing a rain-drenched Keanu Reeves (the best Keanu Reeves) standing outside the doors of the Continental hotel, ready to do something…violent. As well, we thought the title for the movie would nix the “Chapter” subtitle, going for JOHN WICK 3: PARABELLUM. Turns out, they’ve combined the two for a doozy of a title in JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM. Try saying that five times fast, and if you can’t, a hitman will be sent to eliminate you.

The last entry, JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO left things on a dramatic note, with Wick (Reeves) shooting a man on Continental grounds, thus breaking the strict rules, and was therefore labeled “excommunicado” by Ian McShane’s character. Now he’s on the run, and during the course of his adventures encounters Halle Berry’s character (above), who also seems to be a snappy dresser and dog lover.

Here’s the poster, and don't forget to check out the motion version below it:

And here’s the official synopsis:

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.

JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM hits theaters May 17.
