Last week brought us the first official look at the bloodsucking Collins clan from Tim Burton’s in-production DARK SHADOWS; now Empire is sharing a couple more behind-the-scenes looks at the horror-comedy. Obviously, the one above has Burton directing his longtime collaborator Johnny Depp in what seems to be a bloody sequence, while the image below gives us another peek at Michelle Pfeiffer and Johnny Lee Miller (who is sporting a bloody unfortunate comb-over).
Additionally, we have good news for you 3D haters out there: This one will only be seen in 2D. Producer Richard Zanuck explained to Empire: “We discussed this quite a bit. We didn’t want to be categorised as another 3D extravaganza, because this isn’t. We have action sequences, but mostly it’s interaction between characters, and that’s where the humour and the story come from.”
Music to my ears, Rick! The Collins clan will descend on theaters on MAY 11, 2012.
