Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut began filming yesterday

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is pretty universally beloved around here, and sad though it may be that anything could cause Gordon-Levitt to leave DJANGO UNCHAINED at least it was done on good terms and for a good cause.  As in his feature film writing/directing debut DON JON’S ADDICTION, which Gordon-Levitt himself said began shooting yesterday.

Co-starring Julianne Moore, Scarlett Johansson, and Tony Danza, the movie focuses on the attempts of a porn-addicted, modern day Don Juan-type who sets out on a quest to reform his life.  Below you can see a behind-the-scenes picture from the first day, and hopefully there will be many more to come via the movie’s official tumblr.

Reportedly Gordon-Levitt has been bulking up for his role in DON JON’S ADDICTION, and here are the rather impressive results:
