According to Variety, set in 1987 Oklahoma, the film “stars Juno Temple as a high school tramp seeking the father she never knew who runs away with a closeted gay boy who wants to escape going to military school, portrayed by newcomer Jeremy Dozier.”
The indie comedy script, from newcomer Abe Sylvia, was one of 2007’s Black List screenplays (meaning, it was one of “the best” unproduced works floating around town). The film is being directed by Sylvia as well.
Milla Jovovich will, once again, star in another Resident Evil movie entitled RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE. She’ll also ironically be starring in the William H. Macy-directed drama KEEP COMING BACK, alongside Topher Grace, Steve Buscemi, and Anton Yelchin. Macy, while not directing, will be slumming it with the likes of MARMADUKE and WILD HOGS 2: BACHELOR RIDE.
DIRTY GIRL is currently shooting in Los Angeles.
