Juan Carlos Frenadillo was one of my very first interviews here at Arrow in the Head; a super nice guy who seemed pleased as punch to meet me and talk about his splendid horror flick 28 WEEKS LATER. (I still don’t understand the people who hate that movie, I think it’s a blast.) So it’s been my pleasure watching him become a real player in this Hollywood game – in August it was announced that he would be tackling BIOSHOCK. Doesn’t get much bigger than that. But maybe he wants to get one more creepy tale out of his system before taking on such a big project.
Fangoria is reporting that Fresnadillo will be writing and directing INTRUDERS, a genre piece whose story revolves around an 11-year-old girl. That’s all they’ve got on the story front, but production is allegedly scheduled to begin in mid-May. Will be interesting to see if this holds any water…
Fresnadillo is also attached to direct a remake of THE MAN WITH THE X-RAY EYES. Let’s just hope the dude gets around to making one of these flicks in the near future.
