Jurassic World concept art displays futuristic new park; what do you think?

If you’re curious about what “world” of JURASSIC WORLD might look like, we’ve got some early concept art to share with you. These come from Nathan Schroeder, a veteran concept artist who has worked on such films as STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, THE AVENGERS and THOR. (Among many others.)

The first image (click to see it bigger) evidently shows the island of Kaui, doubling as Isla Nublar in the film; we can see a monorail running the entirety of the island, with a newfangled Visitor’s Center in the middle. (At least, that’s the guess right now.)

The second image offers a closer look at a fairly futuristic building. Is that an aviary on the left?

It should be noted that it’s unknown if these illustrations are indicative of what we’ll ultimately see in the film; you’ll recall the production went on hiatus to reassess things last spring, so it’s entirely possible these won’t come to life on the big screen. If indeed this is what’s in store, I must say I’m fully on board.

JURASSIC WORLD is being directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson. It hits theaters in June 2015.
