Canada’s Raven Banner Entertainment has acquired the worldwide sales rights to Justin McConnell’s THE COLLAPSED and SKULL WORLD. The company plans to take the pictures to the upcoming European Film Market and send them to film festivals throughout the year.
“I’m confident they will help the films reach the right audiences around the world,” said McConnell. Raven Banner head Michael Paszt offered the following: “Justin is part of a ‘new breed’ of genre filmmakers emerging from Canada, and a perfect match for Raven Banner!”
THE COLLAPSED is a post-apocalyptic zombie flick that stars John Fantasia, Steve Vieira, Lise Moule, Anna Ross, Vincent Thomas, Stefano Gallo, Kassandra Santos, Neil Green, and Rick Cordeiro. It is currently in final sound mixing. Here is the synopsis:
In the wake of the end of the world, a family of four desperately tries to survive against insurmountable odds. Their goal: escaping the city and traveling to the rural community they once called home, Dover’s Bend.
The constant threat of a violent death forcing them to stay as far away from civilization as possible, they take to the forest, soon to discover the danger posed by other survivors may be the least of their worries
SKULL WORLD, meanwhile, is a comedic documentary following Greg Sommer, a man who participates in the underground, cardboard-based combat movement known as Box Wars.
