I don’t know what Edios has up their sleeve with
this game but it must be something huge because for the movie rights to be sold
before the game is even released is just ridiculous.
Variety reported
here yesterday that Lions Gate has now acquired
the films rights to the Edios game KANE & LYNCH before the game has even
been released.
The game is about a
mercenary named Kane who is partners with a schizophrenic named Lynch. They meet
while being transported to death row, only to be attacked and kidnapped by
Kane’s former team. The unlikely duo is forced to retrieve a stolen fortune that
Kane has hidden.
Since the game hasn’t been released yet I can’t
really tell you much more about the plot, like whether or not it has enough
substance to carry a feature film. (Although that doesn’t really seem to matter
