Killer horror con

We’ve had horror flicks set in the strangest of places. Sewars, the woods, summer camps, high school, dreams. Yeah, some real f*ckin’ bizarre places, right? But one place we haven’t seen a horror flick perform it’s body count duties is… a Horror Movie Convention! And that my friends, is all about to change.

There’s a new independant horror flick on the horizon called TEXAS FRIGHTMARE MASSACRE, from director Joe Francis and producer Kevin Woods (same team who brought us SURIVIVAL). We don’t have a lot of details, but we do know that the whole film takes place at the TEXAS FRIGHTMARE WEEKEND, which is held in Dallas, Texas, annually every May.

Cool premise, right? A horror flick that takes place at a horror convention? Check out the details: It’s a slasher set during a horror con. Texas Frightmare Weekend, 90% of the feature will be shot DURING the actual con, and will be shot in a run and gun style in HD. It’s going to be riddled with blood and gore, have ample nudity (male and female!), and a good amount of laughs. It’ll alos have one of the biggest kill scenes ever. We’re talking upwards of twenty people being cut to ribbons in one room within a few minutes.

If you’re like me, you were hooked on blood, gore, nudity, and biggest kill scenes ever! Awesome! TFM is casting right now, as they plan on filming it at this year’s Frightmare Weekend which runs from May 1 – 3, 2009. Nice! You can check out the film’s OFFICIAL MYSPACE PAGE for more details and for your chance to have a spot in the picture.

A horror movie set during a horror con–who would have thought it? TEXAS FRIGHTMARE MASSACRE, featuring Kevin Woods, Don Prentiss, James Furey, Rickylee Leonard, Joe Francis, and Allen Reed, is set to begin filming this May.
