Ages ago, I’m talking ages, I hipped you guys to the latest attempt at producing a decent (not counting ABOMINABLE) “Bigfoot” movie called SASQUATCH ASSAULT. I actually went out on a limb and suggested that this current big-hairy-one may actually succeed at kicking some serious ass (as a creature of literal stature like this should). And before I back my theory up with the flick’s cool plot, let me further fan the flames by presenting the latest batch of pics!
Check out that bad ass image up top! Not only do we have a fittingly beastly (and, thankfully, not CGI) Bigfoot, but we also have some pretty inventive gore! That’s definitely a new and interesting way to remove one’s hat. And I just had to include the pic down below not only to show “Mr. Hunter-man” before he “loses” his hat, but to illustrate that SASQUATCH ASSAULT also happily includes a “hottie quotient”. To catch the rest of the pics, click here. Now, on to the aforementioned plot:
Here’s how writer, John Doolan describes it: “The concept sounds insanely over-the-top. A group of people head out into the woods and get attacked by a half-human monster. What sets SASQUATCH ASSAULT apart is that, first of all, it takes place in a city. And second, the creature isn’t just some bloodthirsty killing machine. We wanted it to have more humanlike qualities in addition to its animal instincts. The reason it attacks is because it’s provoked, and feels the need to defend itself. Not to fear, though, blood lovers, there are still plenty of creative deaths planned.”
Obviously, from the image up top. I’ve also heard that the brunt of the bloody action takes place at a police station that the Sasquatch terrorizes. Nice! ASSAULT was directed by newcomer Andrew Gernhard and features a cast consisting of Kevin Shea, Greg Nutcher, Sarah Ahearn, Cristina Santiago, Jason Criscoulo, Andrea Saenz, Alex Exum, and Cuyle Carvin. No word yet on a release date.
