I also could’ve gone with “Iceman Thawed” for the headline but ah, what the hey. “Iceman” himself, Val Kilmer, has found himself in THE THAW, a monster movie from director Mark A. Lewis. Co-starring alongside Kilmer will be uber-cutie Martha McIsaac, last seen looking hot while throwing up in SUPERBAD.
Dread Central explains that the story is about a group of ecological students who discover that a prehistoric parasite has come back to life after a woolly mammoth is defrosted, and their race to stop the bug from infecting the entire world, even as they themselves fall victim to it.
Doesn’t exactly sound like your typical Val Kilmer film does it? Then again, this kind of B-level stuff is becoming somewhat typical for the former Jim Morrison (he’s doing the voice of K.I.T.T. for the love of f*ck).
