I’m just about to watch YOU KILL ME, Ben Kingsley’s last major flick, but before I do I’m gonna bring you a little news about the guy; he has signed on to play William Shakespeare in a film adaptation of the novel “Will by Christopher Rush. The project will mark the first undertaking of Kingsley’s production company SBK Pictures, and will be about the legendary writer’s deathbed meeting with his lawyer to discuss his last will and testament.
Kingsley just wrapped shooting on THE WACKNESS, about a troubled teenage drug dealer (Mary Kate Olsen) who falls for her therapist, played by Kingsley. We all know how good the guy was in GANDHI, so I’m sure he’s gonna bring it as Shakespeare, but I have to say, my favourite side of him is that darker side, the one that he shows in SEXY BEAST. Shakespeare didn’t gut punch a fat guy ever, did he?
