I wonder what Nic Cage’s character is thinking in the pic above. Could it be, “Did I do that?” or maybe, “It’s still not as big a wreck as GHOST RIDER!” But I’m guessing the thought most likely going off in his head is more along the lines of, “Holy Shit!”
Nevertheless, I’m still really liking this first image from Cage’s upcoming, Alex Proyas-directed flick KNOWING (which I last wrote about here). The wreckage, the fire, the smoke, even Cage’s shocked and appalled expression ALL give off a terrifically terrifying vibe! I hope that feeling will be sustained throughout the entire flick. Here’s a quick version of the plot to keep you in the know:
A teacher (Cage) opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son’s elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions — some that have already occurred and others that are about to — that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: With Proyas at the helm, this flick sounds very promising. In addition to Cage, it also stars Rose Byrne (below), Chandler Canterbury, Ben Mendelsohn, and Adrienne Pickering. It is set to open on March 20, 2009.
