Way back in April we heard about how a sequel to SAW: THE VIDEO GAME was on it’s way for later this year. Hell we were even treated to some stills from the new game as well as a sweet teaser trailer, which can be found below or over in our videos section. Well it’s taken a while but the fine folks over at Konami have officially announced the project via a brand new press release! But that’s not all!
They’ve also gone ahead and announced that actor Tobin Bell is on board the project to voice the infamous ‘Jigsaw’ in this next installment, titled SAW II: FLESH & BLOOD. Well I’m definitely digging the title and you can’t go wrong when you’ve got Tobin Bell on board! Well … you can, but let’s chalk this up as a good thing! Konami even spilled a bit more on what SAW II: FLESH & BLOOD has in store for us:
Following the success of the first SAW video game, SAW II: Flesh & Blood invites players back into Jigsaw’s twisted world in an entirely new storyline that takes place between the first and second film. This time around players are put in the shoes of Detective Tapp’s estranged son, Michael, who has been captured by Jigsaw after betraying his father. As the game evolves, players will face mind-bending puzzles as they navigate their way through Jigsaw’s terrifying world and defend themselves against his minions. And of course, players must survive a new collection of stomach-twisting traps such as “Elevator Music,” which chains victims to an elevator that will tear their bodies in half if they fail to solve three sets of puzzles before time runs out.
SAW II: FLESH & BLOOD is scheduled to hit shelves this Fall so we’ll be sure to keep our eyes and ears open for more updates heading our way. As always as soon as we hear something we’ll be sure to pass it along to all of you!
