Kurt Russell’s neo-noir thriller Undying finds a director

Just last week Eric told you all about the upcoming flick UNDYING, which sees the great Kurt Russell returning to our genre for a little dabble in a ‘surreal underworld.’ Well last week the flick was looking for a director, and according to Screen Daily, it’s found one!

It seems Mr. Jon Amiel will be stepping behind the camera for UNDYING. Name doesn’t ring any bells? Don’t worry, I’m sure you’re not the only one. Mr. Amiel has actually been bouncing around the industry for a while, with his biggest credits being COPYCAT, THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO LITTLE, ENTRAPMENT and THE CORE. He most recently tackled CREATION along with a couple episodes of “The Tudors.” Interesting choice for a neo-noir thriller… Now that we’re all caught up let’s take a gander at UNDYING’s synopsis:

Private investigator Virgil Lone gets pulled into a surreal underworld when he is hired by the mysterious Delia.

Simple enough. UNDYING is described as being in the vein of BLADE RUNNER and is set to start filming this Fall.
