Kurtzman talks Buried

Good ol’ Johnny Butane hit us up with some shots and info they received over at Dread Central for Bob Kurtzman’s BURIED ALIVE!

For those needing a recap, BURIED ALIVE centres on a college prank that goes horribly wrong that ends up awakening a very pissed off spirit (played by newcomer Beth Biasella, done up right by P13’s Gino Crognale, David Greathouse and Eva Lohse) who’s itching for some killin’. Even though that synopsis just makes it sound like a PUMPKINHEAD clone with the characters serving as shooting gallery ducks, Kurtzman assures that we won’t be seeing that happen. “We have a very sexy cast of 20-somethings, all of whom are incredible actors who’ve elevated the film by delivering really solid performances…They definitely stepped up…going toe to toe with Tobin [Bell]. I think you’ll be cheering for the living rather than the undead!”

Oh yeah, who could forget that Jigsaw himself, Tobin Bell, signed on to portray a creepy caretaker in the film? “I actually worked with Tobin before on THE QUICK AND THE DEAD(directed by Sam Raimi with the rest of the KNB dudes in tow) as well as a TV movie. Tobin is great! He is a total professional and very creative individual as is the rest of the cast and crew.” Nice to hear that the big name for the film is getting along with the rest of the cast and director. Plus, Tobin kicks ass, bar none.
