As Robert Kurtzman plugs away at his current film (THE RAGE starring Andrew Divoff), news from Dread Central has Kurtzman returning to his special effects world with Dark Lot Entertainment‘s HORROR CHRONICLES.
Also part of the series is ‘Zero Dark Thirty’, which is a remake of DEATHDREAM (aka DEAD OF NIGHT), written by GRUDGE remake writer Stephen Jeffries and directed by John Stalberg Jr. Glasgow Phillips’ directorial debut has him helming the horror-comedy western ‘Undead or Alive’ in New Mexico, and lastly is ‘Buried Alive’, which was written by THE HUNTED screenwriter Art Monterastelli, who was originally also attached to direct. Instead, Kurtzman gets the job. “[It’s] a tale of a group of college friends whose weekend getaway at a remote hunting lodge turns terrifying,” says Kurtzman. “I’m in prep and casting the film now, and I start shooting in June.”
As for Kurtzman’s THE RAGE, he tells DC that the film would be close to completion in December, with shooting being completed in August and post getting underway after that.
Makes you wonder if he misses KNB at all.
