Tartan Films dropped us a line to let us know that the website for SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE has gone live.
On the site, you’ll find the list of showings for the film’s limited release, which kicks off April 28th in The Big Apple (aka New York). As well, the site also has the film’s synopsis, the trailer, info on director Park Chan-Wook, the cast, stills from the film, upcoming info on an upcoming contest where you can win a trip to Korea and Harry Knowles’ seal of approval. Take that for what it’s worth.
The third film from Park Chanwook’s revenge trilogy following SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE and OLDBOY, LADY VENGEANCE follows the story of Lee Geum-Ja, who at the age of 19, goes to prison for the murder and abduction of a child on behalf of her accomplice Mr. Baek, only to find out that she is betrayed. While in prison, she carefully prepares for her revenge by winning the hearts of her fellow inmates with her kindness, thus earning herself the nickname ‘kind Ms. Geum-Ja’.
