Landis Kills People

It’s exciting to have director John Landis return to the director’s chair with BURKE AND HARE, set to star Dan Aykroyd, Simon Pegg, David Tennant, and Bill Nighy. But for Landis fans, things are about to get even more exciting, as Landis is also set to produce a little horror / revenge flick called SOME GUY WHO KILLS PEOPLE. And yes, that’s really the title!

While the title is ridiculous (yet totally awesome), the actual premise seems quite hardcore. Check it out: A quiet town is uprooted by a series of murders committed by someone bent on revenge.

It’s sweet, sweet revenge on a small town scale, with Landis sitting in the producer chair. But wait–it gets better. How, pray tell, could it possibly get better? Jack Perez is attached to direct. Who the hell is that? He’s the director of such STD classics as WILD THINGS 2 and MEGA SHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUS, that’s who.

I know. This project just got a whole lot cooler. Ryan Levin wrote the script, and now it’s only a matter of time before casting begins and production gets underway. Sometimes a film is announced and I feel ho-hum about it one way or another. Then there’s times like this when “kick-ass” is practically tattooed on the film’s forehead. Amazing director, unique title, and John Landis. Where do I sign up???
