Last chance for Starz Netflix movies

If you’re a fan of ROBIN HOOD: MEN IN TIGHTS, prepare to be very upset.

Last year it was reported that Starz would be ending their agreement with Netflix at the end of Feburary 2012. Now it’s the last couple of days to instantly stream some great films via Netflix. Be sure to check your Instant Queue to see which films won’t be available after Feb 28th. The following are some selected fan-favorites films that will no longer be available once the Starz deal expires.

  • TOY STORY 3
  • ROBIN HOOD: MEN IN TIGHTS
  • SCARFACE
  • JFK
  • TRON: LEGACY
  • SCREAM
  • LET ME IN
  • BIG
  • RONIN
  • BEETLEJUICE
  • YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

Netflix has been battling bad press since several changes to service last year confused subscribers. The first being a rate-increase, and and announce split between their instant streaming, and DVDs-by-mail service. The former change was later canceled.

Netflix currently has 25 million subscribers, many of which use the hybrid streaming, and DVD service that costs approximately $19 a month. While still much cheaper than renting multiple films at video stores, or using on-demand cable, Netflix recently lost millions of subscribers because of that late 2011 rate increase.

It should be noted that these films will still be avaiable via DVD-by-mail. Head over to Movie Fan Central to suggest to others your favorite Starz films that we shouldn’t miss before they are gone.
