According to Variety, Kevin Macdonald (pictured) is set to direct the suspense flick MURDER MYSTERY, the first feature from production company Tower Hill Entertainment. James Vanderbilt (ZODIAC) wrote the screenplay, which has been bangin’ around Hollywood for a few years. Now it’s ready to get made.
“Murder Mystery” revolves around an American couple honeymooning in Europe who are implicated when they witness a murder and wind up embroiled in international intrigue.
Kevin Macdonald directed THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND and STATE OF PLAY. Despite the lame title, it sounds like a fun thriller of the Hitchcockian kind, so I’m rooting for this project to get moving quickly. (And casting will be key, of course.)
