Pascal Laugier seems to know what he’s doing. The man is the brilliant mind behind the hit MARTYRS, which The Arrow gave 3 1/2 stars! Not only that, but Laugier has also been tapped to direct the HELLRAISER remake in the works. So what’s after that?
According to Production Weekly Laugier will be going to the dogs, quite literally! His next project after HELLRAISER will be DOGS, a flick about a war veteran trapped in his desert shack, surrounded by wild, hungry dogs.
Obviously this one leaves a lot to the imagination. Are we talking a one-man show? If so… assuming casting is spot on that can be pretty awesome, especially with Laugier behind the camera. Alas, all we know is the info above so we’ll be waiting on more news for DOGS.
In other Laugier news, the US DVD cover for MARTYRS was just released today and can be seen below! Not bad at all! I’m digging it. Simple and subtle. Now the release date for this DVD is a tad more tricky. Amazon has it pegged for March 24th and Fangoria states MARTYRS will hit shelves come April 28th. Keep it here for updates as we await a solid release date.
