Christopher Lee (LORD OF THE RINGS) let loose some chatter about a follow up (NOT sequel!) to the genre classic THE WICKER MAN. Can’t say I really dug the original much, despite the unrelenting nudity, but what the hell. Let’s listen in on big budget sci-fi’s go-to bad guy:
“Same producer, same director but it’s not The Wicker Man. How can we make a sequel? It was a very definitive ending, wasn’t it? There are elements that you find in The Wicker Man: certain beliefs, the fact that we all sing, that it’s funny, quite erotic and very alarming. And that it’s a strange story set in Scotland.”
Yeah, sounds like a blast. Not! I’ve been wrong in the past, though, and will be wrong in the future. I doubt this is one of those times, but who the hell knows.
