Leonardo DiCaprio officially joins Quentin Tarantino’s new film!

Holy shite!

Looks like super megastar Leonardo DiCaprio has just signed on to the new Quentin Tarantino movie about (or totally not about) Charles Manson.

You may remember, duh, that the two had previously worked together on DJANGO UNCHAINED and I guess they had a blast because they'll be at it again in the near future.

Too cool. Really.

On top of the casting announcement, we learned that DiCaprio will be playing "an aging actor in the story that is being kept under wraps but is a Pulp Fiction-esque movie set in the 1969 Los Angeles during the summer of the Manson murders."

Hopefully, we'll be hearing confirmation one way or the other regarding other actors such as the rumored Margot Robbie, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in the next few weeks so stay tuned.

How excited are you to hear that DiCaprio is starring in Tarantino's new film? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on social media!

Plot rundown via Vanity Fair:

Set in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969, Tarantino’s upcoming movie, according to a source who read the script, focuses on a male TV actor who’s had one hit series and his looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick—who’s also his stunt double—is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story.

The film is being produced by Harry Potter’s David Heyman, Tarantino, and Shannon McIntosh, with Georgia Kacandes exec producer and line producer.

Production begins this year on Tarantino's ninth flick!
