Lesbian Romance drama Below Her Mouth procures a release date

Just after yesterday's celebration of International Women's Day, April Mullen's lesbian romance film BELOW HER MOUTH has acquired the rights to be released in the United States via theaters and on VOD beginning on April 28, 2017 courtesy of Gunpowder & Sky Distribution (what a cool name for a company). The film tells the story of an unexpected romance between two women whose unbridled connection to one another changes their lives in ways they could never have anticipated.

The film stars Natalie Krill as a prosperous fashion editor who lives with her fiancé played by Sebastian Pigott. Also leading the film is Erika Linder who will step into the role of Dallas, the roofer who awakens a new sexuality in Krill's character, Jasmine. With a script written by Stephanie Fabrizi, the film will be a Serendipity Point production in conjunction with the Distant Horizon label. It's also to note that the movie was made under the instruction of a staff made entirely of female members.

In commenting about the film, April Mullen expressed the following, "Below Her Mouth’ offers a fresh, raw and honest look into the electrifying connection between two people through the female gaze. I’m thrilled to share the film with U.S. audiences and celebrate love is love." Right on, I say! Representation in all things is important, particularly in film. It's just my opinion, but making strides for diversity is an important part of helping people to get along, and broadening the scope of cinematic entertainment is a nice contribution to the cause.

BELOW HER MOUTH will be released on April 28, 2017 in theaters and on VOD.
