It’s no surprise that, given THE INCREDIBLE HULK’S smashing success, director Louis Leterrier is all of a sudden a hot property. The man formerly known as “the guy who directed TRANSPORTER 2” is now the guy responsible for making the Not-so-Jolly Green Giant watchable again. So what’s he doing for an encore?
The answer is STRAYS – and no, it’s not a remake of that made-for-cable killer cats movie from the 90s (I know some of you know what I’m talking about). This STRAYS sounds more along he lines of one of my personal favorite genres: the post-apocalyptic nightmare!
In “Strays,” a group of young consultants on a business trip to Russia mysteriously wake up in an abandoned and radioactive city and fight to survive the deadly obstacles in between them and safety.
Of course, we’re only going to get a vague plot description for now, but I read “abandoned and radioactive city” and I’m already down. The script comes from Michael Ross, the man who wrote TURISTAS, and who is also apparently behind the typewriter on the NEAR DARK remake.
Could be an interesting ride, so stay tuned for more as it comes in!
