Last week it was announced that Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum will be turning to the land of dinosaurs for director Colin Trevorrow's JURASSIC WORLD 3. News of the aforementioned actors reprising their respective roles for the next chapter of the Jurassic franchise, while expected, was a much-welcomed bit of info for fans of the franchise. Now it would appear as if Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazzello, who played Lex and Tim, respectively, in Steven Spielberg's 1993 original film, are ready and willing to return for Trevorrow's upcoming sequel.

According to a source familiar with the situation, "there are no current conversations" about Mazzello and Richards joining the film. Be that as it may, both actors who played the Jello-O eatin', electric fence hoppin' youngsters in the 1993 big lizard-led blockbuster are reportedly ready to lace up their running shoes to play dinosaur freeze tag, should the opportunity arise.

In the years since JURASSIC WORLD made history in theaters, both actors had continued to work within the industry for some time, with Mazzello having recently acted in films like THE SOCIAL NETWORK and BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY. As for Richards, she appeared almost exclusively in a number television-related projects after a brief cameo in 1997's JURASSIC PARK: THE LOST WORLD. If you scope her IMDB page, you'll find that her last role was as Donna Voorhees for the TV movie BATTLEDOGS.

Trevorrow will direct JURASSIC WORLD 3 from a screenplay he's currently hatching with Emily Carmichael and JURASSIC WORLD and JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM co-writer Derek ConnollyChris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will of course be reprising their Jurassic roles for the next adventure in the franchise, which is scheduled to stomp into theaters on June 11, 2021.
