Lily James may join Ansel Elgort in Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver

The next film from Edgar Wright has been shaping up for the past few months and according to Variety, BABY DRIVER may have found its leading lady. Lily James, hot off the monster success of CINDERELLA, is in talks to join Ansel Elgort in the film. Negotiations are ongoing but should they prove fruitful, this could be an interesting pairing.

Variety's synopsis:

[The] plot follows a talented, young getaway driver who relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. After being coerced into working for a crime boss, he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.

BABY DRIVER has been on Edgar Wright's mind for some time and with his unfortunate exit from ANT-MAN, the time has finally come for the project to move forward. Lily James' next lead role will come in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES on February 5, 2016, while Ansel Elgort recently completed filming NOVEMBER CRIMINALS.
