It looks like Lions Gate is hookin’ it up for us horror geeks in 2006! They just acquired the distribution rights to Jim Isaac’s SKINWALKERS!
Yes, Jim Isaac, the man behind JASON X is bringing us some werewolf action with this bitch. The flick hasn’t even begun production, and it’s already creating lots of buzz. Maybe it has to do with F/X man Stan Winston is on board to do the creature effects! And you know this, man!
SKINWALKERS is a horror action film about a 12-year-old boy who suddenly finds himself at the center of a battle between two warring groups of werewolves. One group of werewolves is sworn to protect him, the other group is trying to kill him — and the young boy’s mother has to find out why her son is at the center of the conflict before time runs out.
Ah yes, a werewolf story for all ages- gotta love that shit.The flick’s written by James DeMonaco, Todd Harthan and James Roday.
Lions Gate Releasing President Tom Ortenberg is just bubbling with excitement about this deal:
