We've been curious about the Ryan Reynolds-starring THE VOICES ever since we first heard about it and have been keeping up with the film over the past several months. The film premiered earlier this year at Sundance to some mixed reviews, but those who dug it seemed to really like it. We can't wait to see it for ourselves and hopefully the wait won't be too long as the Marjane Satrapi-helmed flick has now found a home in the U.S. with Lionsgate acquiring distribution rights, according to Deadline.

Gemma Arterton, Anna Kendrick and Jacki Weaver star alongside Reynolds in this genre bending tale of…

…Jerry Hickfang, a lovable but disturbed factory worker who yearns for attention from a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden, murderous turn, Jerry’s evil talking cat and benevolent talking dog lead him down a fantastical path where he ultimately finds salvation.

Michael R Perry wrote the script and Matthew Rhodes, Adi Shankar, Roy Lee and Spencer Silna produced. The film is presented by Lionsgate and 1984 Private Defense Contractors and is a Mandalay Vision, Studio Babelsberg and Vertigo Entertainment production.

Talking animals? Murder? Sounds like this one will be right up my alley! Hopefully we'll be hearing a release date for THE VOICES soon.
