Lionsgate Vice President hints at Saw resurrection

We all know it’s inevitable, but just how soon might we see Jigsaw, Hoffman and their bevy of traps return for another SAW go-round?

Lionsgate Vice President Michael Burns, speaking on CNBC about the studio’s financial outlook and the state of its franchises, dropped the following minor tidbit: “I’m sure, some day, you’ll see Saw back in the picture.”

Of course, this is hardly a breathtaking piece of news; it’s neither a surprise to think that the series might be resurrected, nor is it a definite because of what Burns has blurted out.

The conclusion of SAW: THE FINAL CHAPTER certainly left the door open for a follow-up, but at this stage, I think some kind of reboot (yes, that dreaded word) is in order.
