Director Pablo Larrain's eight hour limited series adaptation of the Stephen King novel Lisey's Story (pick up a copy HERE) is coming to Apple TV+ on June 4, and today a trailer has arrived online to give us a preview of what we're in for when this "deeply personal thriller" starts airing next month.
Starring Julianne Moore and Clive Owen, the mini-series follows
Lisey Landon two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon. A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind.
King wrote the scripts for all eight episodes.
Moore and Owen are joined in the cast by Dane DeHaan, Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Sung Kang.
An Apple Original limited series, Lisey's Story is a collaboration between Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television. King, Moore, and Larrain are executive producers on the show, alongside J.J. Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Juan de Dios Larrain.
I remember reading Lisey's Story back when it was first published in 2006, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the story has been brought to the screen.
