Instead, the duo will be making a twenty minute live-action film as a way of promoting Ubisoft’s latest installment in the shooter franchise, “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier”.
Writing the film will be CHILDREN OF MEN scribe Tim Sexton. The project will apparently be a prequel of sorts, telling the story that leads up to the events of the video game itself which deals with a group of U.S. Special Forces soldiers (duh). The Ubisoft-funded project is reportedly budgeted between $8 million-$10 million. RSA, Ridley and Tony Scott’s commercial and music video company, is producing.
The “Future Solider” video game is currently set to be released in time for Christmas.
