If there was ever a Stephen King story that screamed a film adaptation, it’s THE MIST. Short for a full book, but long enough for a movie, creepy atmosphere, cool characters, and one of those visual premises that works perfectly on film. So when Frank Darabont decided that it was time for him to strap on his King adaption hat once again, it was only perfect to hear that THE MIST was finally going to be made for the big screen.
Those fat bastards over at AICN had a chance to visit the set for practically a full week, and what they brought back from it was nothing short of spectacular. Pictures from the set coming left and right, and a report to satisfy the biggest MIST fan.
The final day of the set visit, they had a chance to check out some sweet giant spiders that take over a section of the grocery store.. and judging from the pics that were snagged, it’s gonna be sweet! Go ahead and click on the web above to check out the full pic- and set report- and see for yourself: this is going to be one fun ride!
While the final day consisted of spiders, the others focused on filming the earthquake, the inside of the grocery store, abduction of a few victims, and of course… the mist itself. Pretty cool stuff here, and the fact that they let em’ take pictures is damn noteworthy too! To check out all the fun, click HERE, and get ready for THE MIST as it nears it’s release this November.
