Lost star Daniel Dae Kim joins Samuel L Jackson & Kellan Lutz in Deathgames

Last week I hit you all with the details for a flick called DEATHGAMES. You guys remember that? While seemingly unoriginal, DEATHGAMES still sounded like a pretty good time!

Well today we’ve got another name joining the film! According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog none other than Daniel Dae Kim has signed on to star alongside the already announced Samuel L. Jackson and Kellan Lutz. Kim (right) can most recently be seen on the ever-popular LOST. In DEATHGAMES, Kim is playing a fellow prisoner, an artist who happens to be a master of kendo (samurai-style sword fighting), a skill that comes in handy when he competes for his life and his wife’s. Nice!

I’m actually a big fan of Kim’s ‘Jin’ from LOST. Sure he isn’t the best character but he definitely hovers around my top five, so Kim’s casting in DEATHGAMES is a positive in this guy’s book! Especially considering I’m already looking forward to this flick! Why? To tell you the truth I’m not exactly sure but I’m definitely intrigued. What about you guys? How’re you feeling about DEATHGAMES? Are you into it or does it seem like we’ve seen this a half dozen times before?

The story centers on a young man who is kidnapped and forced into the savage world of a modern gladiator arena, where men fight to the death for entertainment of the online masses. Another man orchestrates the games, overseeing them from his computer lair with the help of twin ladies who see to his every desire.

Lutz will be starring as the young man while Jackson will be the man running the game. Jonah Loop is making his directorial debut with DEATHGAMES, which starts filming next month in Louisiana.
