Love in the Time of Dick Pics is the rom-com for the modern age

Apparently Sony has just acquired the rights to the spec script LOVE IN THE TIME OF DICK PICS from writer Nicole Larson. However, while I love that title, I doubt it'll stick (like how Kevin Smith's A COUPLE OF DICKS became COP OUT). At any rate, the film has been described as:

A timely romantic comedy about the illusion of choice — and just how hard it is to find the right person in a sea of options that range from polite, to lewd, to nude.

Now, I don't know about you guys, but I've never sent an unsolicited dick pic (or even a solicited one either, because my life is an existential pit of sorrow), but I feel that the topic is very timely, and ripe for comedy. Especially from a female perspective. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to navigate the current dating landscape for girls, especially if you're busy or shy and rely on online sites to find mates. It's hard enough for me, but not getting messaged back is not at all the same thing (to quote Jules from PULP FICTION: "It's not even in the same league, it's not even the same f*cking sport!")

At any rate, this will be Larson's first feature script (having worked as a writer on the TV shows MELISSA AND JOEY and THIS IS US), and will be produced by Elizabeth Cantillon (THE TRAP).
