Lovely Bones teaser pstr

I don’t read many books. As you can guess, I’m more a fan of movies. Though since I also write, I know that it is beneficial to read as much as possible (when time permits). With that said, the last book I read from beginning to end (and loved it) was THE LOVELY BONES. From a horror perspective as well as a general storyline perspective, it was just impossible to put down. Upon hearing the Mr. Peter Jackson would be guiding BONES to the big screen., I was extremely pleased. The man is just a genius at combining genre elements along with true emotion. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

In the meantime, we can all look at an initial teaser poster for Jackson’s film up top. Sure, it’s nothing too fancy, but considering the book’s subject matter, I say the more understated, the better. At least they’ve got Jackson’s name nice and visible. And the cast is very nice too. I just hope that Mr. Wahlberg brings his DEPARTED game and not whatever was happening with THE HAPPENING. However, that may not even matter with all these heavyweight co-stars: Rachel Weisz (below), Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Saoirse Ronan, and Michael Imperioli.

In case you were as yet unaware, here is the plot: The story centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – and her killer – from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.
