Lucas Till reveals his role in Park Chan-wook’s upcoming film Stoker

I must admit I got rather giddy when I heard that Park Chan-wook was working on a new film titled STOKER. Said film is actually going to be his English language debut for Fox Searchlight, which is currently filming.

STYD recently had a chat to one of the stars Lucas Till. The actor told them he had actually has wrapped on the film, with his role being a smaller one. He didn’t want to reveal too much (perhaps he isn’t able to), but he did say he’d be playing a bully.

“I just finished, it’s a small role. I play a bully to the main character. I have so much respect for Park. It was insane the way he directs. He can understand English, but he has a translator on set. And he could iterate through a translator better than a few directors I’ve worked with. It was so cool. I think it’s awesome no one knows much about the movie, it’s such a phenomenal script. Just seeing his ability to create tension, like Oldboy, I don’t want to say anything more, but this has that intensity, it’s going to be good.”

Synopsis – After India’s (Wasikowska’s) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.

The film was written by PRISON BREAK star Wentworth Miller, Lucas Till will star alongside Mia Wasikowska (below), Matthew Goode, Nicole Kidman, Jackie Weaver, Dermot Mulroney, Phyllis Somerville and Alden Ehrenreich. It is due for a release some time next year.
