Lucifer: Season 6 trailer ushers in a new apocalypse

Netflix has unleashed a final trailer for the sixth season of Lucifer. In the trailer, we find Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) coming to terms with his new role in the universe as God. Needless to say, the transition from ultimate demon to benevolent presence has not been an easy one for our devilish debonaire. Thankfully, his love and partner in crime, Chloe Decker (Lauren German), is there to pull him back down to Earth.

Here’s Netflix’s description for Lucifer: Season 6:

“This is it, the final season of Lucifer. For real this time. The devil himself has become God… almost. Why is he hesitating? And as the world starts to unravel without a God, what will he do in response? Join us as we say a bittersweet goodbye to Lucifer, Chloe, Amenadiel, Maze, Linda, Ella, and Dan. Bring tissues”

The new trailer finds Lucifer and Chloe being interviewed by Detective Carol Corbett (Scott Porter) after the couple bears witness to a murder. Shortly thereafter, we join Lucifer in Dr. Linda Martin’s (Rachel Harris) office, where he unloads the anxiety he feels in his new position as the Almighty. Before long, the laws of nature begin to break down, and signs of a brand-new apocalypse start to arrive. However, as familiar as that scenario sounds for a show like Lucifer, Season 6 looks to be pulling out all the stops to make the finale unforgettable for fans. I’m talking, of course, about sex, drugs, murder, and characters getting the animated treatment! What on Lucifer’s green Earth is happening throughout this finale? I can’t wait to find out! Honestly, though, I’m not sure that I’m ready to say goodbye.

Are you ready to embrace the end of Lucifer? I sure hope so because the 10-episode finale rises from the flames on Netflix beginning on Friday, September 10th.
